We work with patients and families to take care of everything.
It starts with a caring conversation.
A patient, family member or primary caregiver can call us at any time, with or without a referral from a doctor. We have an experienced team standing by to listen to your needs and answer any questions you have regarding hospice care. Contacting us does not obligate you to go forward with hospice care in any way.
We consult with the primary physician.
With permission, we contact the patient’s physician to discuss the possibility and timing of hospice care. Our medical team works with the physician to develop a plan of care that addresses the patient’s individual needs and ensures that the experience is tailored to you and your loved ones.
You can focus on what matters.
The Serenity team makes this transition as easy as possible — so you can focus on what really matters. Hospice care can generally begin the same day we receive an order from the patient’s physician. In some situations this can be within hours of your call.

2019 SHPBest™ “Superior Performer” Caregiver Satisfaction Award
Serenity Hospice Care, LLC has been recognized as one of only three Hospice programs in the State of Kansas to receive the “Superior Performer” award. The annual SHPBest TM Award Program was created to acknowledge hospice providers that consistently provide high quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care. The 2019 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall CAHPS Hospice survey satisfaction score for more than 1,400 hospice providers. With one of the largest CAHPS Hospice benchmarks in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made family and caregiver satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the CAHPS Hospice survey.
Let us take care of everything.
The word "hospice" was once used to describe a place of refuge for people on a difficult journey. Our excellent care and deep compassion for patients and families offer a place of comfort on the end-of-life journey. Recognizing that in hospice care, the main guardians are the family caregiver and the hospice team, care is most often provided in the home setting rather than in hospitals and hospice care facilities. The Serenity Hospice Care team will support the patient and family wherever they are.
